Blue Skies Initiative

The Blue Skies Initiative is the name of the Consortium in the Clondalkin area (specifically North and South West) under the Area Based Childhood Initiative funded by the Department of Children & Youth Affairs and Atlantic Philanthropies and overseen by the Centre for Effective Services and Pobal. The initiative is managed locally by the Consortium which is made up of members from several statutory and community organisations in the area and is led by Archways. The Blue Skies Initiative is designed to improve the overall well being for children and families in the area. We will do this by…

  1. Increasing engagement in services
  2. Improving services for people in the area
  3. Ensuring programmes used are evidence based or informed
  4. Ensuring programmes are not only for people in need of assistance but for everyone in the area
  5. Increase awareness that language development and enrichment is crucial for children’s development
  6. Assist parents in engaging in their child’s social, emotional and academic development
  7. Improve information sharing between services and parents
  8. Evaluating our work
